Zendor, the Manchester-based interactive and fulfilment specialist has been appointed by Lloyds TSB Insurance to work alongside its e-commerce team, providing usability and design consultancy services for its online sites, www.screentrade.co.uk and www.insurance.co.uk

Zendor’s services, which will help Lloyds TSB develop its online offering, include expert advice on usability issues, a user testing programme in the form of usability laboratories, design recommendations and web design.

Zendor’s usability service will ensure that Lloyds TSB customers have the very best online experience. This, in turn, should result in greater customer loyalty and increased revenue to the site.

Zendor Interactive has established an unrivalled reputation for pioneering excellence in interactive solutions and has an extensive usability service supporting a client base of retailers, financial institutions and sports, leisure and gaming institutions. Usability laboratories assess how customers interact with the website and cognitive experts assess the site’s performance in line with the competition, both on and offline. Following this, a report summary with design examples to show how the site can best be developed in the short and long term is presented to the client.

David Hawdale, Head of Design and Usability at Zendor, says “ By focusing on user experience, companies can engage their customers in order to win sought-after online transactions. To leverage your site’s value and reliability, it is important to work on the visual identity and navigation, working hard to keep customers engaged — involving them in usability and prototyping exercises provides insights that lead to better designed experiences.”

According to Emma Tolley, E-commerce Manager at Lloyds TSB, “Zendor has been retained by Lloyds TSB Insurance for a further 12 months as a result of the successful range of usability and design activities undertaken during 2002.”
