Zendor, the fulfilment and distance selling expert, has recently launched its new Channel Development service and announces that Simon Weigh has been promoted to head up the new operation. Simon has been working for Zendor since 2001 as Business Development Manager advising clients on developing their home shopping business. The new role will still see Simon continuing to work closely with retailers and manufacturers to explore their business potential, while focusing more on the implementation of multi-channel strategies and planning, providing customer analysis and insight, and advising on direct marketing opportunities across channels.
Didsbury-based Simon has a decade of experience in direct mail order marketing and has held positions at GE Capital, Great Universal Stores and Zendor’s sister company, JD Williams before making the move across to Zendor. His wealth of experience in the home shopping industry made him an ideal candidate for the newly created position. With Simon in place, retailers or manufacturers who are looking at incorporating a multi-channel proposition or capitalising on an existing channel will receive strategic input from an expert with experience, credibility and history in the industry.
Along with helping businesses identify areas for multi-channel growth and success, in this new role Simon will also be responsible for Call Centre Management. Simon will oversee existing relationships with all Zendor call centre suppliers, the day-to-day operational management of call centre activity on behalf of Zendor clients, and the identification and sourcing of appropriate new suppliers.
Simon comments, “In this new role I will help businesses identify areas for growth and success. As call centre manager I will also be able to help retailers drive their business forward, since call centres are integral to multi-channel companies. I am very excited about applying my experience to these areas and helping take Zendor to its next level of growth. Our new services are the perfect solution for the retailer looking for strategic input so that they can get it right the first time and without the headache.”
Zendor’s new Channel Development service incorporates strategy and planning, customer analysis and insight and direct marketing. Also included is an online experience review to identify potential pitfalls associated with the e-commerce channel. Zendor’s expertise in distance selling services combines strategic and practical skills with knowledge and resources to provide recommendations that will ultimately generate an increased return on investment and improved customer service.
