1 October 2005
JJB Sports, the UK’s leading sports retailer, has appointed Manchester-based Zendor to launch and provide fulfilment services for its new transactional website. Working in close partnership with JJB Sports, Zendor are providing a fully integrated end-to-end solution for the online store, which was launched recently as a development of the existing informational site. The website address remains the same - www.jjbsports.com. JJB Sports appointed Zendor, the UK’s primary distance selling specialist, to launch this new facility after an initial project in March 2005 where Zendor helped JJB define and develop their e-commerce strategy.
Zendor’s solution for JJB Sports includes order and payment processing, call centre services, warehousing and fulfilment, delivery, returns, fraud management, and customer data management. All these elements together will support JJB Sports’ online proposition both by meeting the needs of their customers, and helping to drive the websites growth and success. The website sells a wide range of sports equipment and clothing, from major sports brands to products exclusive to JJB Sports.
Zendor was appointed to provide end-to-end fulfilment because JJB Sports were impressed by Zendor’s experience, expertise and credibility in the distance selling arena. JJB Sports needed assistance in understanding the opportunities available to them in the distance shopping industry and how to launch and integrate a transactional website as part of a wider multi-channel operation.
Winston Higham, Marketing Director of JJB Sports comments; “JJB Sports has considered trading a wider product range on the Internet for some time. The success of this market over the last 12 months encouraged us to seek advice and assistance from Zendor, as they have established a reputation in the multi-channel retail industry. Zendor will play an important role in working with us to developing and supporting our website in the UK.”
