Zendor, the leading multi-channel fulfilment company, has announced the lease of a new flagship warehouse located in Chadderton, North Manchester. The need for an additional warehouse comes in the wake of continued client growth resulting in the need for significantly more storage capability.

The location at Chadderton was pinpointed due to its accessibility to the motorway networks, convenience for Zendor’s staff, and proximity to existing sites in the North West, which will ensure maximising the existing infrastructure.

Nick Allen, CEO at Zendor, comments: “The new warehouse is a gauge of the growth of both Zendor and our clients in the multi-channel industry. It will allow us to carry on supporting our existing customers while allowing for continued growth and new customer acquisition.”

The Chadderton warehouse comes with 145,000 sq ft of space, and in addition there are plans to erect a 50,000 sq ft mezzanine. It is also equipped with ‘Very Narrow Aisle’ racking in order to maximise capacity and storage efficiency. The new facility has a larger capacity for packing, which will improve the efficiency of the operation, especially during peak trading times such as Christmas.

Zendor has experienced considerable growth during the last 12 months due to end users increasingly using the distance shopping channels of the traditional catalogue and online ecommerce websites to purchase goods. In fact, the entire online market is expected to grow to a massive £18 billion by 2010 according to research conducted by Datamonitor and PayPal.

Zendor is a leading outsourced fulfilment provider to multi-channel retailers and has an impressive client base including, The Early Learning Centre, River Island and JJB Sports.
