Press Release

Manchester-based multi-channel retail specialist Zendor, has introduced a strategic planning service for retailers planning to launch an online shopping site. The aim of this service is to help retailers understand the direct selling and e-commerce opportunities available to them, while defining the correct strategy to capitalise on these opportunities. As part of this service, Zendor will also work closely with retailers to determine the appropriate launch and roll-out strategy.
Although online retail continues to grow at record rates, establishing an online presence is still fraught with risk. It is essential that retailers are fully aware of the work required and implications of moving online before making any large investments, to avoid making costly mistakes. The most important thing a retailer needs to establish prior to making any decisions is the strategic objectives of the new channel, and the role of the website in the overall business strategy.
Essentially, Zendor will work alongside the retailer to interpret their brand values and how best to translate them through the online channel. The service will also include a review of the retailer’s current situation and a definition of all activity and investment required, based on scale of opportunity. Once Zendor has assessed areas such as strategic aims, situational analysis, market opportunity and risk, a recommended business plan and strategy is provided.>/p>
Tracey Travis, Marketing Director at Zendor, comments: “The appeal of this service to retailers is that Zendor are part of a home shopping group, so we fundamentally understand the implications of moving into multi-channel retailing. We can provide a realistic business plan and a true indication of costs for the investment required, and as a fulfilment provider rather than just a consultancy, we can then go on to implement our recommendations.”
